Our HOT Summer Incentive is officially underway, giving your Agency the opportunity to earn an additional $100 or $150 commission on every eligible policy bound between July 1 and October 31. Even better, bonuses are paid with that same month’s commissions, so you can start seeing the rewards right away.

We’ve updated our Underwriting guidelines to make writing new business easier while continuing to support sound Underwriting decisions.

Highlights include:

• Expanded Age of Home Inspection Guidelines: The inspection will be automatically waived for homes built within the last 10 years that have tile or metal roofs (No change to our current guidelines which waives the inspection for homes built in the last 5 years)
• 4-Point Inspections: Underwriting will accept 4-Point Inspections that are conducted within the last 90 days in lieu of a PTI Home Inspection (some restrictions apply)
• Roof Certification Inspections: We will now accept Roof Certification Inspections completed by any authorized licensed inspector, conducted within the last 90 days
• Roof Ages will be validated with issued permits, eliminating the requirement for final permits
• High Value Home process: Coverage A review threshold increased to $1.75 million for HO-3 policies
• Homes that have no prior insurance or force-placed insurance are eligible with an acceptable pre-bind home inspection completed by Home Inspection Services

If you already have a PTI Home Inspection scheduled, a qualifying 4-Point Inspection can often take its place, unless Underwriting specifically requires a pre-bind inspection. Simply upload the inspection into Slate and apply the “4-Point” tag for review.
