PTIC HO APP 1021, Homeowners Application
  • Added the following language to the Notice of Insurance Information Practices to comply with Senate Bill 1598:
  • The Department of Financial Services offers free financial literacy programs to assist you with insurance-related questions, including how credit works and how credit scores are calculated. To learn more, visit www.MyFloridaCFO.com.
  • Revised the Water Damage Exclusion Endorsement acknowledgment and the Applicant Statement as required by the OIR during the filing review process.
PTIC P003 0621, Homeowners 3 – Special Form
  • Section I – Perils Insured Against, A.2.c.(6) has been added to exclude rain, snow, sleet, sand or dust to the interior of a building unless a covered peril first damages the building causing an opening in a roof or wall and the rain, snow, sleet, sand or dust enters through this opening. Previous A.2.c.(6), as well as all references to it, have been relabeled to A.2.c.(7).
  • Section I – Exclusions, A. 2. Earth Movement and Settlement has been revised to exclude soil movement resulting from blasting and loss caused by manmade activities unless direct loss by fire or explosion ensues.
  • Section I – Conditions, I. Suit Against Us has been revised to require the insured to notify both the company and the Department of Financial Services at least 10 days prior to filing a suit if we fail to agree on a settlement or the amount of loss.
PTIC E023 0621, Preferred Contractor Endorsement
  • Definitions have been added for tropical storm occurrence, PCS event, and weather event.
  • Section I – Conditions, I. Suit Against Us Our Option has been revised to require the insured to notify both the company and the Department of Financial Services at least 10 days prior to filing a suit if we fail to agree on a settlement, the amount of loss, or scope of repairs.
  • Section I – Conditions, J. Our Option 3. has been revised to provide that following a hurricane occurrence or multiple weather events within a 60 day period, a written notice will be sent within 60 days after inspection.
PTIC HOFL LMTWTR 0621, Limited Water Damage Coverage
  • Section I – Property Coverages and Limit of Liability have been revised to include Coverage D – Loss of Use and all Additional Coverages under SECTION I – PROPERTY COVERAGES arising out of the same loss within the scope and limit of this endorsement.
  • The following language has been added under Limit of Liability:
    • If an ensuing loss to covered property by a peril insured against results from a loss described in this endorsement, the limit of liability per occurrence for the coverage provided under this Limited Water Damage Coverage endorsement does not apply to that ensuing covered peril loss.
PTIC HOFL WTRBCKUP 0621, Water Backup and Sump Overflow Coverage
  • Reference to previous Section I – Perils Insured Against, A.2.c.(6)(b) has been updated to A.2.c.(7)(b). PTIC NOCPT 0621, Notice of Change in Policy Terms
  • This form has been updated to outline the above HO-3 changes in policy terms.
PTIC DP APP 1021, Basic Choice Dwelling Policy Application
  • Added the following language to the Notice of Insurance Information Practices to comply with Senate Bill 1598:
